How do I access my Workbook Live Website to make changes?

There are a few ways to access your Workbook Live site. You will need your Casting Workbook ID and Password in order to log in:
- You can log into your Casting Workbook account and click "View your website" on your Home Page;
- Or, if your site is active online, you can type in your personal URL: http://YOURSITENAME.workbooklive.com (i.e. johnssite.workbooklive.com). From here, you can click the "Login" button at the bottom of the page to make changes.
How do I turn my website off (take it offline), either for maintenance or while I am making changes?
- Log into your Workbook Live site and go to your "my settings" page. From here you can click the site status in order to turn it to online or offline. Don't forget to click on "save changes to site"!
How do I display or hide my Workbook Live URL in my Casting Workbook profile and submissions?

Log into your Workbook Live site and go to your "my settings" page. From here select “Yes” to display your URL to casting or “No” to hide your URL.
How do people visit my site? OR What is my Website Address?

Visit your website at http://YOURSITENAME.workbooklive.com.
YOURSITENAME is the website name you chose when you set up your account. (i.e. maryssite.workbooklive.com.)
Remember that you should not put the letters "www" anywhere in your site address. Also note that your site MUST be online for others to access it.
My site visitors are unable to reach my website. They keep ending up on the Workbook Live Homepage whenever they enter my URL.
- If your visitors are entering "www" before your URL, this will redirect them to the Workbook Live Homepage. Removing the "www" from their search will lead them to your personal website as long as it’s online.
- If your visitors are not including "www", and they still find themselves on the Workbook Live Homepage, this means that your site is offline.
- To activate your site, log onto your Workbook Live site and go to your "my settings" page. From here you can click the site status check box "Online". Don't forget to click on "save changes to site"!
How do I change my Workbook Live website name?
- The very first time you create your Workbook Live site, you have the chance to edit your personal URL to one of your choosing. You can do this the first time you visit your "my settings" page, by typing into the "Site name" text box. After this point, you are not able to change your website name. Once a name has been chosen and accepted by the system it cannot be changed.
How do I change my displayed Actor Name?
- Go to your "my settings" page and type your new actor name into the "Names" text box. Don't forget to save your changes!
What is the difference between VIEW SITE mode and EDIT SITE mode?
- "VIEW SITE" mode allows you to see your site exactly the way a visitor does. This is a great way to proof your site (check for spelling errors and photo choices) before you put it online. "EDIT SITE" mode allows you to make changes to your site (choose your template, add photos, edit text, etc.).
How do I switch between VIEW SITE and EDIT SITE mode?
- Click on either "VIEW SITE" or "EDIT SITE" at the top of the Workbooklive Screen. This will switch you back and forth between View and Edit Modes.
How do I change my background photos?
- You are able to choose a different background photo for each page of your site (except for the Home Page, depending on your template). To do so, go into Edit Mode and select the page on which you would like to add/edit a photo. From here, select the blue "edit photo" button on the top right hand corner. Select the photo you want to use from the drop down menu. You can choose any photo that is contained in any of your photo albums including your stored images. Click "save" when you are finished.
How can I hide a page that I don’t want shown to the public?
- Go into Edit mode, and select the page you want to hide. Click the blue "hide page" button in the top right hand corner. This will make the selection tab disappear when you go back into ‘view mode’. To undo this, simply go back into ‘edit mode’ and select "unhide page".
What is the Home Page and introduction?
- The Home Page is the first page your visitors will see when they access your site on the internet. The Home Page contains your displayed Actor Name, Photo(s) and an introduction that you create. Visitors can also click on links that will connect them to other pages on your Workbook Live Website such as Profile, Resume, Photos, Audio/Video (if purchased) and your contact information.
How do I choose or change my website design template?

Only actors who opened an account before the new version of Workbook Live was launched will have access to the older template version. On the old version go to "Settings" page you can select from one of the 15 template thumbnails we have available. Hover over each thumbnail to get a preview of the design. If you would like to upgrade to the new version of Workbook Live, you can click on the “Migrate to new templates?” button from the “Settings” page. If you decide to switch back to the old templates, return to the "Settings" page, then click the "Return to old template" button.
- If you are a new member or have switched over to the new version of Workbook Live, you will have a single template with the option to select different background colors. Click on "Settings," and at the bottom of the preview image, you'll find 6 colors to customize your website. Don't forget to save your changes
How do I select my photo in all pages of my Website?
- Go to your "Settings" page, and in the section "Add More Photos Now or Later," click “Upload/Manage your photos and photo albums” and upload any photos you would like displayed on your website. When finished, close the album editor and click Edit website. From any of your pages, for example “Home” page, click "Edit photo", select the desired photo from the dropdown menu and click “Save”. You can choose any photo from your albums, including stored images. Please note that you will NOT be able to delete a photo from a photo album if it is in use.
How do I enter/edit my Home Page introduction?

While in Edit Mode, click on your Home page and then the "edit introduction" button in the top right hand corner. Type the desired message into the text editor window. You can change the text style by selecting font, size, color fill etc. Click "save" when you are finished.
How do I add or edit my attributes?

How do I change my Profile/Biography text?
- While in Edit Mode, click on your Profile/Biography page and select the blue "edit profile/biography" button in the top right hand corner. Type the desired text into the text editor window. You can change the text style by selecting font, size, color fill etc. Click "save" when you are finished.
What is the Resume Page?

Depending on the template you have chosen, the Resume Page can display selected "Attributes" information such as height, weight, hair, eyes, union etc., as well as your resume. You can choose to display either your Casting Workbook Resume (which is automatically updated whenever there is a change on Casting Workbook) or another resume that you can manually type in.

How can I make my website show my Agency Resume that is on my regular Casting Workbook Profile?
- While in Edit Mode, click the blue "edit resume" button. Select the desired resume from the drop down menu. If you are not represented, choose "Display Resume from Talent Scout". Click "save" when you are finished
How do I create a Workbook Live resume?
- While in Edit Mode, click the blue "edit resume" button. Select "Make Your Own Resume" from the drop down menu. The page will automatically refresh and you will see a workspace where you can now create and edit your Workbook Live resume. Click "save" when you are finished.
Will my Workbook Live Resume ever appear on my CWB account?

No. Your Workbook Live Resume is completely independEnt and cannot be seen by Your
Agent or Casting Directors when viewing your Casting Workbook Portfolio.
How many photos can I display on my Workbook Live Website?
- You have unlimited access to upload photos to 4 albums. Three of them are for uploading your professional photographs, and one album is for storage, where you can keep your background photos. You can find the files you upload in the 'edit photo' section on each page of your website.
Is there an easy way to copy my Casting Workbook headshots to my Workbook Live website?

Yes! When you first activate your Workbook Live account all of your Casting Workbook headshots are automatically copied to your Workbook Live Website and stored in an album called "HEADSHOTS".
- PLEASE NOTE that any changes made to that album, including uploading and deleting photos, will ALSO affect your Casting Workbook Portfolio
What is the difference between the Photo Albums and STORED IMAGES?
- The photo albums keep the photos your visitors can see. The STORED IMAGES album is a holding space for photos that you may want to display on your home page or use as background photos. They cannot be seen unless you assign them to a page. This is a terrific place to upload artistic photos that you don't want included in your public albums but may choose to put on other pages.
- Please note that the "HEADSHOTS" and "STORED IMAGES" albums cannot be renamed.
- Albums help you organize your photos, so you can change the names of the albums 1, 2, and 3 at any time (while in "edit mode") by clicking on "Edit Album", there is a text box labeled "Album Name"; simply replace the current album name with one of your choosing, and click "save" finally, go to the “Done” button to keep your changes.
What are Captions or Photo Credits?
- You can add special information about your photographs that will appear below your photos. “Photo captions” can be a funny phrase or information about the time, place or date the photo was taken. The “Photo Credit" is usually the name of the photographer. To add this information, if you are in the old template go into Edit Mode and click on your Photos page. Find the desired photo album and click on "Edit Album", and if you are in the new version go into “Settings” From here go to the bottom “Upload/manage your photos”, select the necessary photo. You can type in the captions/credits in the text boxes underneath the photo. Make sure you click the "save" button, finally, go to the “Done” button to keep your changes.
What does "Set Album Cover" mean?
- Every photo album has one photo that appears on your Photo page as the Main Photo for the album. You can select which photo you want to appear as your photo album cover by clicking "Edit Album" or “Upload/manage your photos”,and selecting the desired photo. Click "Set Album Cover". Don't forget to click "save" finally, go to the “Done” button to keep your changes.
How do I delete a photo from a photo album?
- While in Edit Mode, find the photo album you want to delete the picture from and click "Edit Album" or “Upload/manage your photos” . Select the photo you want to delete and click "Delete Photo". Click the "save" button after you are finished, go to the “Done” button to keep your changes.
- Please note that you will NOT be able to delete a photo if it is in use on any of your pages. You will have to remove the photo from use first in order to delete it.
How do I upload new photos to my Workbook Live Website?

While in ”Edit Mode”, go to the “Settings” page and click on “Photos” or “Add more photos”. Find the photo album (Album 1, 2 or 3) you want to add your photos to and select "Add More Photos" or “Upload/manage your photos”. Choose the folder or drive on your computer where your photos are located. After you choose the folder your photo files will display in the upper right window. You can select your photos and click on “Open” or in the old template you can drag the photos you want to upload into the lower window. Depending on your photo file sizes this process may take some time.

Now you can return to your photo album and you will see your newly uploaded photos. You can also enter a “photo caption” or “photo credit” at this time or go back and add this information later. Don't forget to click "save" when you are finished
Can I send my photos to Casting Workbook to upload to my Workbook Live Website?
- At this time Casting Workbook does not offer photo upload services for Workbook Live Websites. Actors are able to upload their photos directly to their Workbook Live site using our Photo Uploader or you can add them directly from your Casting Workbook profile.
Do I have to have a Pro account to add media to my site?
- Yes. You MUST have your Pro account to create your web site of Workbook Live. If you would like to upgrade your account, please contact your local Casting Workbook office.
How do I upload Audio or Video to my Workbook Live Website?
- To upload video: While in Edit Mode, go to your "Audio/Video" page. Click on the blue tab located above your media list labeled "add video".
- Once the "Upload Video" window opens, enter a title for your video in the "Description" box (i.e.: "Demo Reel" or "Scene Study"). Then click "Browse" to find the video file on your computer (acceptable video formats are MOV, MP4, WMV, and AVI).
- Once you have located the file, click "Upload Video" at the bottom of the window. Depending on the size of your video, this may take some time.
- PLEASE NOTE: Any video uploaded to your Workbook Live Media page will automatically sync over to your Casting Workbook Profile.
- PLEASE NOTE: if you have a video on your Casting Workbook Profile that you want to share in your web site just remember uncheck the box label “Private” to allow the video to be displayed on your Workbook Live page
- In the new template you only can delete your video from your Casting Workbook profile account, Select “edit” then “video” and search the video you wants to delate, and click on the “x”, bottom after that just confirm with “OK” to delete your video, but if you are in the old template if you want to delete a video, (still in Edit Mode), click on the "x" to the top right hand corner of the video you wish to delete. When it asks if you are sure about deleting the video, click "Yes" (if you are sure, that is).
- PLEASE NOTE: In the new template any video deleted from your video page of Casting Workbook Profile is also deleted on your Workbook Live, and if you’re using the old template, any video deleted from the media page of your Workbook Live is also deleted on your Casting Workbook Profile.
Is it possible to upload video that will only appear on my Workbooklive Website?

No. At this time all audio and video is shared between your Casting Workbook Account
and your Workbooklive Website.
What contact information can I show on my Workbooklive Website?

You can show personal contact information and/or agent contact information.
How do I update my contact information on my Workbooklive Website?
- To edit your personal email address: While in Edit Mode, click on the blue "edit email address" button. Type in the correct email and click "save". If you would like to hide this email option, type "hide" into the text box instead of an email address.
- To add an agent/manager contact: While in Edit Mode, click on the blue "add new contact" button. From here, select the appropriate information from the drop down menus. If your agent/manager is not listed, click "Create a new contact" and input their information manually. Don't forget to click "save" when you are finished!
- To edit/delete an agent/manager contact: While in Edit Mode, click on the blue "edit contact" button on the desired contact. From here you can either manually edit their information, or click the "delete" button.
